Mountain lion watch: Big cat still stuck in aqueduct

Uh oh, kitty’s (still) down a well! The mountain lion spotted trapped in a Santa Cruz aqueduct earlier this morning is apparently still there.  The aqueduct is on May Avenue, off Ocean Street. UC Santa Cruz researchers release new study on mountain lions

UC Santa Cruz researchers have released a new study on mountain lions, also known as pumas or cougars. Among the findings: Female lions sniff the urine piles when they are in heat and determine through the smell which males are most desirable. Other males identify rivals just by sniffing the pee.
