Little Free Libraries in Santa Cruz

September 24, 2014

Have you heard about little free libraries?lfl

Basically, they are miniature libraries where people can take and leave books on the honor system. They’re cropping up all over the country, as well as internationally.

That includes Santa Cruz. Residents of the Chanticleer Park neighborhood lay claim to having the first LFL in the city.

There are several listings of where they are around here.

The Santa Cruz Public Libraries has a Pinterest board where they map them, for instance.

This one listed on Flickr (shown at right) was clearly started by a Dr. Who fan.
