The Santa Cruz Fruit Tree Project is hosting a celebration of all things fermented this Saturday at the Museum of Art and History, (which, as a side note, has tons of cool-sounding programming coming up in the next couple months.)
Counter Cultures will focus on all kinds of fermented foods made at home or by local businesses. That includes cheese, kefir, kombucha, pickles, kim chi, sauerkraut, tempeh and more.
Tickets will be sold on a sliding scale from $15 t0 $35. Wine, beer and mead will be sold separately. It takes place from 6 to 10 p.m.
The event is being co-hosted by Seven Bridges Cooperative. Sponsors include Farmhouse Culture, VinoCruz, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, Santa Cruz Local Foods, India Joze, Dr. Kefir, Companion Bakeshop and Creative Cultures. .
