Discretion, Sante Adairius get shoutouts from the San Jose Mercury News

August 21, 2013

Not only does our coffee keep getting accolades, but now our beer does too.

Sante Adairius Rustic Ales in Capitola has become something of a beer critics’ darling and the San Jose Mercury News sings their praises in an article published Tuesday. Author Jay Brooks is also delighted by Discretion Brewery in Soquel, which opened earlier this year. He also writes about Freewheel Brewing in Redwood City, Faction Brewing in Alameda and Baeltane Brewing in Novato.

Brooks, the craft beer columnist for the Bay Area News Group, spent the past 18 months working on a book titled “California Breweries North,” a guide to more than 160 breweries from Santa Cruz to the California-Oregon border. The book, due out next month, is available for preorder on Amazon.com.
