Then on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. there’s a party planned with party favors, balloon art with Mr. Twister, beer specials, a photo booth, bluegrass music and KPIG remote feed. Then Extra Large will perform at 6:30 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church and admission is free. The fest takes place at 223 Church St. in downtown Santa Cruz.

  • International Fly Fishing Film Festival: Yep, films about fly fishing. At the Rio Theater tonight, beginning at 6:30 p.m., free admission. From the blurbage: “The International Fly Fishing Film Festival consists of short and feature length films produced by professional and amateur filmmakers from all corners of the globe, showcasing the passion, lifestyle and culture of fly-fishing.”
